Therefore, your recommended bra size is 40D (band size + cup size). cup size chart is D in the below size chart.

Personal rant: I hate that VS is always pushing this on women. If you start out at the smallest settings, that bra will not be comfortable for long. As you wear the bra it will stretch and you'll have to use the closer hooks. You want it to be pretty tight (not binding, but supportive) on the widest setting. When you have larger breasts, the band size is incredibly important because it's doing most of the support. Once you find a brand and size you like, look online for some of the older/less popular styles.

Some brands I've liked are le mystere, wacoal, and panache.

So much better than VS! A lot of the bras they sell at Nordstrom you can find cheaper online. A good bra fitting is key, and Nordstrom's is awesome. I have to second the recommendation for Nordstrom's, too - their fitters are awesome! (Much better than Victoria's Secret, imx, but that may be because VS keeps trying to put me in 38s that I fall out the bottom of.!) It goes all the way from 30D to 38GG, so they definitely have a 34DDD (that brand calls it a 34E). I can wear it all day and it never falls down, and it's actually really comfy! Pre-pregnancy, I was a 32G, and this is my favourite strapless, though I have it without the embroidery: Panache Evie especially for strapless! Not to mention, a well-fitting bra should give you most of its support from the band anyway, and buying a bigger band kind of defeats the purpose! I didn't want to buy a bra online because they never fit the way you expect.īuying a bra on its smallest hooks means it won't last you very long, though - it's much better to buy a bra that actually fits.

That's the route I went and it works great and is super comfortable! I just wear it on the smallest hook and adjust the straps. There's a few websites you can go to, but I actually went to Victoria's Secret and talked to them, and while they don't carry a 34DDD, you can get a 36DD and it has the same exact cup size.
